Grain Free
Grain free recipes, made with seeds, nuts, and fruit-based flours like coconut. These recipes are completely free from gluten. Most of my main dishes and soups are grain free anyway – I’ll link some baking recipes here so you can get an idea of what those include. These recipes are generally free from any added starches but are more likely to include eggs.
For some grain free snacks, try gluten free pumpkin muffins, made with almond flour, and grain free granola with a seed base. If you like a sweeter snack try this edible vegan cookie dough, with nut butter and a little coconut flour.
There are plenty of grain free desserts on the site. Make a chocolate hazelnut tart (a real crowd pleaser), chocolate chickpea flour cookies or ultimate gluten free peanut butter cookies (with coconut flour), and almond flour brownies.
Since these recipes are made with high protein and high fibre flours like chickpea, coconut, and almond, they’re often higher in those elements than traditional baking. I turn to these bakes again and again because they don’t make me feel sluggish or tired so I can still have a sweet treat in the middle of the day.
