Fruit Sweetened

These are fruit-sweetened recipes, and they’re sweetened only with fruit like dates, bananas, or apples. Some might be sweetened with fruit juice but none include honey or added sugar.

Try fruit-sweetened desserts with chocolate chip coconut banana bread, gluten-free chocolate peanut butter cookies, and peanut butter banana popsicles. These are all sweetened with bananas or dates.

For drinks, have a vegan banana milkshake, banana avocado smoothie, or apple juice sweetened fermented ginger beer.

If you’d like a fruit-sweetened snack, try chocolate hemp energy balls, fluffy gluten-free banana pancakes, and oatmeal breakfast cookies.

While these recipes do, of course, include naturally occurring fruit sugars, they’re also higher in fibre and nutrients from the whole fruits used.
